How Does Guitar Guru Work?
Guitar Guru teaches guitar players from beginner to advanced levels how to play guitar by learning to play popular songs on guitar. Guitar Guru uses a variety of intuitive, how to play guitar tools, including:
- a virtual guitar fret board showing correct guitar fingerings as the guitar song is being played,
- detailed instructions for all guitar parts in a song, including guitar tabs and guitar strum patterns
- adjustable playback and tempo control
- MIDI or CD-Synched audio of the guitar song
- your choice of an acoustic, electric or bass guitar skin
- step through each event (guitar fingering change, guitar strum, etc.) at any speed using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
- repeat a guitar part using the down arrow on your keyboard.
- delayed start option so you can give yourself time to get your guitar
- guitar chord displays and guitar playing tips
- bass guitar lessons
- select MIDI playback instrument to match your preferred sound
- choose colored dots, numbers or dots and numbers to represent fingerings
- adjust tempo up to 300% without changing pitch (MIDI only)
- mute button and volume reset with an on/off toggle
